Eco-Schools is a global programme engaging millions of children across 64 different countries, making it the largest environmental schools programme in the world. The Recycle for Your Community team are here to support East London Borough Schools in their Eco-Schools Journey. From Bronze award to Green Flag, the team provides free support whether it be information on how the programme works, ideas for topic work or support in self assessing to achieve the Bronze and Silver Awards.
You can find out even more about the programme by visiting www.eco-schools.org.uk
We’d also love to hear about your Eco-Committee meetings. Let us know what the students have been discussing and if you know you have an up coming meeting soon why not invite us along. We would be more than happy to share ideas with the committee and lend a helping hand. Contact Michaela.email@example.com
We’ve found a great way to learn and gain new ideas is to get teachers sharing what they’ve done, so we hold Teacher Network Meetings within schools. These meetings are held after school at different schools around the four boroughs. They give everyone a chance to share good practise and discus any challenges they’ve faced with the programme. You can keep up-to-date with the Eco-School Teacher Meetings by signing up to our termly newsletter. click here to subscribe we’ll add you to our list and make sure you receive an email invite for each meeting. You can also visit our workshops and events page to stay in the know.
We’ve recently launched a networking platform over on facebook – visit our facebook page now to join the group.
We’re always looking for schools to host the meetings, so if you are interested in hosting (wherever you are on your Eco-Schools journey) get in touch with us Michaela.firstname.lastname@example.org
