Finding a business you trust to fix your precious phone or laptop can be time-consuming, confusing and stressful. Handing over one of your most treasured items to be taken apart by a stranger leaves most of us in a cold sweat.
To try and make things easier, The Restart Project, a social enterprise encouraging and empowering people to fix their electronics and reduce e-waste, have started working on a campaign to bring trustworthy and reliable fixers based in East London into the limelight, making it easier for you to find someone you feel happy handling your hard drive.
We’re working with them on this and will be bringing you more information about this project over the coming weeks. But for now, they’ve produced this brilliant infographic showing the criteria that they feel is important in finding a competent fixer.
For more information about this project, check out their blog here. And keep your eyes peeled for the next stage of the project.
Does Restart ring a bell? It should do, we’ve talked about them and their brilliant fixing parties before.
