Calling all litter heroes!

Fun Litter Bin

Great British Spring Clean Schools Competition 2018

Calling all Litter Heroes!

This March we’ll see the return of Keep Britain Tidy’s Great British Spring Clean.  The aim this year is to get 500,000 people outdoors cleaning up their school or local communities.

Litter Heroes we need YOU!

The Recycle for Your Community team is running a competition for East London Borough schools.

One lucky school will get their ‘hero hands’ on one of the fun litter bins shown above.  Winners and runners’ up will have their competition entry exhibited at The Crystal exhibition, Royal Victoria Docks

For details on what’s involved and how to enter see below.

We’re looking for the best poster/ comic page showing the litter heroes (children and adults!) litter picking.  The competition is open to all year groups and students can be as creative as they like with this project; producing their work digitally or by pen and paper but remember; the final piece must include pictures of the litter pick.  The entries will be judged by a team at Recycle for Your Community.  The lucky winner will be announced on our website and Facebook page during the week beginning 26th March 2018.  The winning school will be presented the bin and a certificate during a litter and recycling assembly delivered by the Recycle for Your Community team’s Education Officer.

All you need to do is register; you can do this by visiting the Great British Spring Clean website here.

Once you’ve registered simply email Michaela.edgar@keepbritaintidy.org with your name and school and we’ll send you a competition pack to get you started.

*Please note entries must be submitted by 14th March 2018.  We will require photo consent to use any images included in the submissions for promotional purposes (this includes our website and social media sites).
