There are many local people who are passionate about sustainability and, despite budget cuts, continue to work hard to provide opportunities for teachers and pupils to learn more about the importance of taking action on environmental issues at school. Information about eco conferences, visits, networking events and workshops for school staff and pupils taking place across Barking and Dagenham, Newham, Havering and Redbridge will be posted here.
Eco-Schools Teacher Network Meetings
The Eco-Schools Teacher Network Meetings are a chance for teachers across East London meet to discuss environmental and sustainability education in schools. Meetings take place each term in each borough at a different school each time. London Sustainable Schools Forum
The Government Office for London (GOL) established the London Sustainable Schools Forum (LSSF) in 2007. Its aim was to support London schools in meeting the sustainable schools framework and to become sustainable by 2020. LSSF is now run solely by volunteers with support from a wide range of organisations. London Sustainable Schools Forum come together once a term in a Central London school to meet, inspire, discuss, share, support, create and plan.
The next meeting will be on 25th January 2017, from 4.30-6.30pm, venue tbc.
