The East London Waste Authority (ELWA) was established on 1 January 1986 as a Statutory Waste Disposal Authority (WDA), responsible for the disposal of waste collected by the London Boroughs of Barking & Dagenham, Havering, Newham and Redbridge.

A PIN has been published on the Find a Tender service, to advertise a market engagement exercise being conducted by the East London Waste Authority (ELWA). ELWA wishes to engage with suppliers regarding what capacity there will be within the UK waste market to process and treat the entire waste stream for which it is responsible.
