Support Services Manager
Salary £33,945 – £36,711 / 36h per week
About this job
East London Waste Authority (ELWA) is seeking to appoint a Support Services Manager based at our main offices, currently in Romford, to help manage the day-to-day operation of the organisation and contribute to the coordination and improvement of all Authority services and activities.
ELWA is a small organisation with substantial responsibilities, which requires significant inter-disciplinary working. ELWA always operates in a multi-stakeholder environment with complex inter-relationships. This requires a number of skills and attributes in order to achieve positive outcomes. The Support Services Manager will have to work in close partnership with colleagues and service providers (both in the constituent councils and external).
Responsibilities include the management and administration of service level agreements between the Authority and our supporting delivering partners for IT, HR, ICT and Finance. In addition, you will monitor/manage a budget (including petty cash), prepare and manage the process for Authority meetings (including minute-taking), be responsible for diary management for senior managers, oversee internal administration functions to ensure an effective and efficient service, and manage landlord relations / property management for the Authority.
Reporting to the Head of Waste and Support Services, you will manage administrative staff and be required to deputise for the Head of Waste & Support Services in relevant areas when required. If you have excellent organisational and relationship management skills and are keen to work in a small but dedicated team helping to make a real difference to how waste is managed in East London then we would love to hear from you.
For an informal discussion please contact the Head of Waste and Support Services, Neil Greenhalgh, on 07971 703825.
Location – Harvey House, Romford (although we are currently seeking to relocate within the East London Waste Authority area)
