With our current throwaway culture, when something breaks people are much more inclined to throw it away and buy new. However, by repairing our broken items we can save money and help the environment.
Repairing instead of buying means:
– Less virgin materials used
– Less water/energy used in the production
– Less emissions and transport impacts
– Money saved for the consumer
Repairing can be done yourself if you know how to, or non-working products can be taken to numerous repair companies who can do a repair for you (this can sometimes be cheaper than buying a new one).
